SHIFT–APPLE– 4
In this project, I explore established visual principles while questioning the traditional motifs of “Socialist Realism”. I adopt its authentic stylistic framework, transposing it into new temporal and geographic contexts. My own photographic work serves as the ground for multilayered photomontages, which are expanded through the integration of found visual materials and press imagery. Through this shift, I aim to preserve the integrity of the original style while subjecting it to critical examination.
A multidimensional montage emerges through the simultaneous integration of technical processes and external sources, including archival photographs and imagery from international press agencies. This layering produces a critical engagement with the canon: one that neither denies its lingering influence yet amplifies it into an all-encompassing force. Each image becomes a glimpse into the happy future!
