UFO-H1986
The results of archaeological research serve as a means of navigating into the past and provide an opportunity to engage with the worldview of a community of that time. During my photographic forays in Kharkiv, I created a series focused on abandoned Soviet architecture, the structures whose original functions are now obscure, effectively “erased” from public consciousness. These objects exist only to become artefacts. They serve as templates for an artistic process that recharges them with a sense of mystical presence – one final enrichment before they disappear.
